he'll grow into it I guess.....

We are two weeks into 2010 already - and so much is going on. Praying for the Haitians and those in Haiti - I am sure I cannot even begin to understand the catastrophe that has occured though the pictures on the online news wires are a glimpse. Still holding tight to the Garners who are trying to figure out how life continues without sweet Molly - one day at a time. Mark's grandmother had hip replacement surgery on Tuesday and thankfully all looks good from my updates. I have only had the pleasure of meeting her once, at our wedding, but from the stories I hear I know she is a strong resilient woman and we are looking forward to heading to California to spend time with her.

A little of what has been happening on the home-front:

Well, Zane is now 3 months old and growing growing growing - with emphasis on the growing of his noggin'. I kid you not, at his two month appointment he was in the 75% for head circumference so just on a whim today I measured it again - and plotted in on the growth curve - AND IT WAS CLEAR OFF. So, while I am not too concerned as his father has a rather large head himself, I did promptly leave a message on the nurse line at his pediatrician to convey these findings. Then proceeded to call my mom (unavailable, and then I remembered you were in south FL at a memorial service, I hope your phone didn't go off there - Sorry!) and then called my mother in law, Nancy. She assured me that all her kiddos had these large heads as did Lorie and Rusty's children. Again, I am not overwhelmingly concerned, he is a bright interactive baby who his hitting and exceeding his milestones but still - OFF THE CHART??!!!

Picture of aforementioned head:

Obviously housing a large brain, right??

Evidence of large brain inside aforementioned large head:

Zane is reading!!!! He enjoyed finding Spot - and we are really loving the tummy-time contraption from Grammy and Papa.

Here are just a few more cute pictures of Zane:

On the tiger he received from his cousins for Christmas - it is delightfully cushiony and cuddly and I can foresee it being a favorite already.

and flash back to the early days (ha!)
